for our 3rd Annual Canine Weekend
January 21st and 22nd
at the Columbus Civic Center!
* Saturday, Jan. 21, 7:30pm Wiener dog races.
Register your dachshunds only for the races on Saturday.
* Sunday, Jan. 22, 4:00pm Open dog races.
Dogs must be non-aggressive breeds and under 20 pounds.
Fans and participants are encouraged to bring pet treats and
toys to be donated to benefit animals in shelters.
Races will take place during the first intermission.
By registering your canine, you agree to abide by the following regulations:
1. All persons
participating and wishing to watch the canine races must purchase a
game ticket. Tickets are sold at the Civic Center box office. Each
racing canine will need two companions with them, one to release the
dog and one for it to run to. If you have a group of 10 or more, call
our office by 5 pm on game day for discounted pricing.
2. All dogs must be
kept on a leash before and after the race. Dogs can be kept in your lap
or in the seat next to you if you purchase an additional ticket.
3. Shot records must
be presented at the 2nd Avenue Animal Hospital Registration table on
the concourse. When you arrive to the game, please check in at this
table to receive further instructions. Please arrive by 7 pm on
Saturday and 3:30 pm on Sunday.
4. Toys or treats can
be brought onto the ice to entice your pet to run to you but must not
be a distraction to other racers (ie, laser pointers, thrown balls,
etc.)
